A few days ago, I went through my 99 football cards, and I noticed that out of those 99, I had 11 hall of famers. I don't know much about the history of football, but I do know how to play. I play pick-up games with my friends, but I have been told that I could make a middle school team if I was interested. I decided to just focus on baseball, since that is my sport of choice.
The first card I found was a 1995 Skybox Tony Boselli rookie card. In Boselli's 7 year career, he made it to the Pro-bowl five times, in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000. Boselli was also an All-pro as a left tackle three times in, '97, '98, and '99.
The next card I got was a 1990 Fleer Richard Dent. "The Colonal", or "Sackman," as he was called, won Super-bowl XX, and Super-bowl XXIX, in both with the Chicago Bears.
1994 Skybox Chris Doleman is a nice card, and I like how the picture is of him training and not actually playing a game. Doleman made it to the Pro-bowl a whopping 8 times.
Jim Kelly is a name that every American knows. My 1991 Official NFL card of Kelly is my favorite card in my entire football collection. Jim Kelly played 11 years, all with the Bills, from 1986-'96. He made the Pro-bowl 5 times, led the league in percentage of passes completed in 1990, and that was only his third highest in his career. He also led the Bills to four consecutive Super-bowls from 1990-1993.
I also have a 1999 Pacific Trading Cards, card of John Lynch. John Lynch made it to the Pro-bowl 9 times, and he was on the Buccaneers in 2003, when they won Super-bowl XXXVII.
This 1995 Skybox card of Warren Moon shows how amazing of a season he had in 1994, when he had 371 completions, and 4264 yards. Moon made it to the Pro-bowl 9 times, 1988-1995, and then again in 1997.
1996 Skybox Premium is a nice set, and I have a card of Shannon Sharpe from this set. Shannon Sharpe won three Super-bowls as a tight end for the Broncos in 1997, 1998 and 2001. Sharpe played in the Pro-bowl 8 times, and was an all-pro four times.
I have yet another 1995 Skybox card, this time featuring Rod Woodson. Rod Woodson won Super-bowl XXXV with the Baltimore Ravens. Woodson made it to the Pro-bowl an impressive 11 times, and was an All -pro 6 times. Rod Woodson has the all-time record for "pick sixes" with 12.
The next featured card is a 1994 Pinnacle Bryant Young. Young won Super-bowl XXIX with the 49ers. Young played in 4 Pro-bowls, and was an All-pro in 1996.
Steve, like Bryant, is a 1994 Pinnacle, who played with the 49ers, and his last name was also Young. Steve won Super-bowl XXIX with Bryant Young, and he also won two other Super-bowls in 1985 and 1989.
By the way, I will be out of town until January 2nd, and will not be able to make any posts, but I promise to make a post the next week, featuring the cards I got for Christmas.
